Yu-Gi-Oh! stock is not one material
Paper, coatings, and foil finishes vary across TCG and OCG printings. We identify the era and finish to select the appropriate cleaning and repair methods.
Early sets
Early cards can show binder impressions, surface dirt, and age-related yellowing. We distinguish removable grime from changes in the paper and explain the treatment options. Cleaning does not reverse paper ageing.
Ghost Rares
The etched holo is the point of the card and the easiest place to make a scratch worse. Light surface marks sometimes recede. Deep tracks in the etching usually stay visible under a raking light.
Starlights and modern textures
Textured foils hide grime and also hide whether a mark is on the coating or through it. Angled photos matter more here than on a flat common.
OCG and TCG printings
Japanese, Korean, and other OCG stock can gloss differently than the North American card from the same set. We assess both. We do not treat them as interchangeable.

What Yu-Gi-Oh! work will not do
Our treatment plan identifies the damage we can address and the original material that cannot be replaced.
- No recolouring faded ink, name stamps, or marker
- No replacing a damaged holographic or etched layer
- No trimming, “pack-fresh” pressing, or rebuilt corners
- No promise that a Ghost Rare or Starlight will look unused
- No guarantee of a numerical grade after cleaning or a repair

We recommend a service after reviewing your photos. All prices are in CAD, per card, plus tax.
Each card is assessed by condition first, then matched to the most appropriate tier and workflow.
Repairs is generally best suited to cards valued at $300+ or cards with sentimental value that justifies the cost.
No payment upfront. You approve the plan first, and payment is due after the work is completed.
Add $25 for in-house slab cracking on graded cards. Return shipping is billed at cost.
Risk notice: Slab cracking carries an inherent risk of card damage. We maintain professional handling standards, but damage can still occur during removal. By authorizing slab cracking, you acknowledge and accept this risk.
