A collector's checklist before mailing cards to Kingston

Most shipping problems we see are skipped steps, not bad luck. Use this list in order. If a box is already sealed and you have not done the first two items, open it and start over.

1. Photos and a plan

Email front, back, and close-ups. Wait for a written plan. Approve it. We send intake details after that, not before. If the queue is closed, the site banner will say so. Do not mail into a full queue.

2. Pack the way the guide shows

Penny sleeve, top loader, cardboard sandwich, bubble wrap, then a box or a suitable mailer. One valuable card gets its own sandwich. Tape cardboard, not the loader face. The how-to-ship page is the visual version of this step.

3. Track and insure it

Canada Post, tracking, insurance that matches replacement cost, both ways. Put your name and the card list on a paper note in the box. Put the tracking number in the email thread.

4. Keep the card boring on the outside

No “sports cards” stickers on the carton. No crushed reused box. No extra gifts, cleaners, or toploaders we did not ask for.

5. After it comes home

Check the card against the completion photos, then sleeve it for storage. Keep the documentation. If you have another card later, send new photos. Do not assume the last plan still applies.

Mail-in is for collectors in Canada. If that list feels long, it is still shorter than replacing a card that bent in an envelope.
